About

The story

The Booth family have farmed this stretch of Aberdeenshire coast for four generations, and the cattle they are known for are the reason to come. The Store is butchery first: dry-aged Aberdeen Angus cut on site, with the traceability of a farm that rears its own. Around it has grown a proper country shop of Scottish larder goods, a deli counter and a kitchen turning out pies and cakes, with a coffee shop for those who came for a steak and stayed an hour. The setting is farmland and sky, a few minutes from the dunes at Newburgh where seals haul out in their hundreds. Worth the detour off the Ellon road.

Why Hunters selected it

A four-generation family farm whose butchery counter sells its own Aberdeen Angus, in open Aberdeenshire farmland near one of Scotland's great seal beaches. Independent and deeply rooted.
