About
The story
The Clark family farm at Milton of Connage sits on the flat green edge of the Moray Firth, and their organic herd's milk never leaves the place: it goes straight into a dairy where ten cheeses are made by hand, from a crumbly Highland cheddar to Crowdie, brie and a gently smoked Gouda. The Cheese Pantry is the shop side of it, and its great virtue is a viewing window into the make room, where curd is cut and turned in front of you. Buy a wedge still cool from the store, add oatcakes and Highland butter, and take it down to the shore at Ardersier. Simple, and quietly unforgettable.
