Kilchoman Distillery

Set among the working fields of Rockside Farm on Islay's wild western shore, Kilchoman does something almost nobody else attempts: it grows, malts, distils, matures and bottles under one roof. The result is a distillery with the honest character of a farmstead rather than a corporate visitor centre. Tours move from barley field to warehouse with unhurried warmth, and the café and shop reward the long single-track drive out west. It is whisky at its most rooted — a place where the landscape is quite literally in the glass.
