About
The story
Few sheds of glass in Britain hold as much silverware as Dibleys. From the hills at Llanelidan, south of Ruthin, this family nursery has become the country's foremost grower of streptocarpus — the Cape primrose — winning its thirty-sixth gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2026 and breeding varieties such as 'Harlequin Blue', named the show's Plant of the Decade. Visitors can wander display greenhouses in full colour, browse rare houseplants and gesneriads, then walk the family's twelve-acre arboretum. It is an improbable world-class institution at the end of a quiet lane in the Vale of Clwyd, and all the better for staying exactly that.
