About
The story
When Emma and Rupert Evans left London to come home to the family farm at Denstone, they turned a set of barns beside the River Churnet into one of the Midlands' most admired farm shops. The fourth generation to farm here, they built the business the right way round: beef from the farm, then five hundred lines drawn from more than forty-five local producers and growers, chosen with a food-lover's eye rather than a buyer's spreadsheet. The café earns its queues, the butchery is proper, and the whole place hums with the easy confidence of a farm diversification that never lost sight of the farm.
