Ceunant Mawr
A dramatic gorge waterfall above Llanberis, reached on a short climb that few visitors take the time to make.

About
The story
While most who come to Llanberis fix their gaze on Snowdon, Ceunant Mawr thunders quietly in a steep, tree-hung gorge just above the village. A short uphill walk leads to a viewpoint where the water plunges in a single powerful ribbon, framed by rock and greenery and, on a clear day, glimpses of the mountains beyond. It rewards a little effort with a genuinely cinematic scene, and because so many press on to loftier goals, you may well have it largely to yourself — a proper hidden corner of Eryri.
