About
The story
Tucked at the confluence of the Glaslyn and Colwyn rivers, Beddgelert is the picture-book heart of Snowdonia — a huddle of grey stone cottages, flower-bright bridges and quiet lanes framed by soaring green peaks. Legend gives the village its name and its melancholy charm, but it is the setting that stops you in your tracks: riverside walks, wooded slopes and mountain paths radiating in every direction. Linger over a pot of tea, follow the water out of the village, or simply watch the light shift across the hills. Few Welsh villages feel this effortlessly complete.
